Battles - any of the three eps this band has released are worth the time it takes to listen. go here for more.. www.monitorrecords.comJune of 44 - now defunct "math" rock band. If you can find it, you'll like it... trust me. Lighting Bolt - Noisy-as-hell bass and drums duo. www.loadrecords.com ... free downloads here. Oxes - Guitar/Guitar/Drums instrumental tech-rock. Apparently they occupy a "post-modern" niche market. Anyone have anything to add to this list? P.S. if you're listening to the new Disturbed album, we don't care.

Morton Feldman - takes some time getting used to him, but it's worth the effort
Raison D'etre - epic, cinematic, melancholy, beautiful...
Erik Satie - the forerunner to Eno and ambient music
God Speed You Black Emperor...currently listening to the 'lift yr. skinny fists like antennas to heaven'
